Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School wrapped up their last project of the year, the Chuck Your Change Fundraiser, this Tuesday, December 13th. The students and staff brought in a total of $1280.70 over a two week period to donate to the Utah Foster Care Foundation to help provide materials and activities for children. There was also a competition between Advisory classes and we had 3 big winners. Ms. Bagg’s 7th grade Advisory brought in $245, Ms. Betty’s 8th grade Advisory brought in $350, and Ms. Packards 8th grade Advisory brought in $381. It all came down to the last day when all the big donations came in. Kobi Prettyman from the Utah Care Foundation provided pizza’s to the 80 students to celebrate them winning the competition, to accept the check donation, and to thank the middle school for putting on the fundraiser. Thank you MLHMS students and staff! The fundraiser was a great success!
